The path, which winds for 20 km starting from the Temple of San Biagio and crossing Monticchiello and Pienza, owes its name to the Via Barlettaia. The ancient road was traveled by the 'barlettai', the Amiata artisans who built the small wooden barrels called barlette that pilgrims used to carry water.
Walking through the splendid landscape marked by the typical hills of the Valdichiana and Val d'Orcia, you can admire fantastic views including the Buca del Beato, the Parish of Corsignano, the Castle of Spedaletto.
