Palazzo Carletti is a noble palace in the heart of Montepulciano, in Tuscany. Just off the main Corso, and a stone’s throw away from Piazza Grande, it offers stunning views on the Val di Chiana, with Lake Trasimeno, and Cortona and its mountains in the distance. This magnificent palace, originally a medieval building, was extended and transformed in the 18th century into the aristocratic residence we know today.
One of the few remaining examples in Montepulciano of an 18th century noble palace, Palazzo Carletti Historical Residence has retained the original paintings and frescos both in the drawing room and the rooms and suites, as well as the ceiling height of up to 6 metres. The recent restoration work aimed to maintain the primal beauty of this aristocratic palace. Using only natural materials and traditional Tuscan craftsmanship, we aspired for a balance between past and present. And we wish to share this success with our guests.
Palazzo Carletti Historical Residence is located on the piano nobile - the first floor of the palace and traditional residence of the noble Carletti family. Charming and luxurious, it offers a total of 5 rooms and suites, with a limited hotel service, due to its small, intimate size. It is through the small but important details of comfort, included services and welcoming staff, that our aim shows through: our objective is to allow you to experience this splendid aristocratic residence in a personal, relaxing, un-stressed way.
Please contact us with any requests, queries, ideas or special plans you may have and we will do our best to assist you.
